Changes and a Baby

Life just seems to get busier every day of the week.

Our big news is though that there is a new grandaughter to add to the clan.

Of course she is so so pretty and loved so much.

Halloween Night

I think I'm supposed to say Happy Halloween but not sure I'm a real believer in this. All of the kids seem to have fun which I have witnessed tonight at work, all walking or running around like they are the walking dead. I did notice today at the $2 dollar shop though that they were doing a roaring business selling all their cheap imported items.. I saw a very cute ghost today though.. a two year old ghost by the name of Jett and a witch trying to make her outfit fit.. namely Caprice.. it is all fun though i have to admit

40th Wedding Anniversary

Next Sunday on the 21st October we will celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary.. a ver long time ago now and as most people woukld say " where did all of those years ago ?"
On reflection they were on the most all good years, a few ups and downs but we managed to get through them with not many scars.
In the end we have two beautiful sons with lovely wives/partners that make them very happy.
Two beautiful grandchildren that bring so much joy and delight to our lives, more excitement is yet to come with another grandbaby not far away.. all i  all a good life

Shaun and Karina have been minding the cats Yoshi and Soda.

They took a bit of settling in which meant some night time wandering.

Lack of sleep was not a good thing so off to the cattery they went so Shaun and Karina could get some decent sleep


 

Time To Post

Still here and not back at work yet. Have a little bit more time off...yay but difficult when you are limited in what you do.
Most of my days have been what i call pottering around the house doing this and that.
Getting my sewing room in some order is taking longer than i thought.
I have so much "stuff " so it's time to declutter and clear it all. Who needs so much " stuff"?
Most of us don"t and just gather as the years go by.

Had a stay in hospital following some surgery but now on the improve.

Time Flies

Where does time go to? Here one day and gone again before you realise it. I'm just wondering do the days get shorter as you get older or is it just that it takes longer to do things? Ideas please.
At the moment i think i have lost a lot of my passion and have no idea where it has gone to. i would love to find it again and hope it's not gone missing all together.
It's a real struggle especially with work which i have always loved my profession but now after all these years i am questioning myself. May be tomorrow will be a turn around and all will be rosey again.

Dandelion Wishes

What would you wish for if you could choose anything in the whole wide world?
Would it be something for yourself or something for someone else?
I am being very self centred at the moment and would make a wish for myself,. is that terrible?
Anyway at my time of life all I wish for is to retire and yet that is a few years off, either that or change my work conditions and then I would cope with people that have no idea of what they are doing.. thanks for listening.

Lest We Forget

Rain, Rain and More Rain

We have had so much rain and floods in so many parts of the country it makes you wonder where it all comes from.The heavens just seem to open up. Last night on the way home from work it was pretty dangerous with the downpour but that is nothing compared to thos e that have had their homes flooded. Other than that I have had my usual trouble ith finding time to do anything at all.... any suggestios would help... PLEASE

Autumn Is Here

Today is the beginning of Autumn here in Australia. Not a very nice day but better than being hot and uncomfortable.The weather has been very hot and humid for  few days but this is very pleasant and at least you can do things without feeling sweaty and the need for a shower constantly.

Busy As A Bee

Life is as busy as usual and i'm not sure where the last two went to, does any one know..please as i would like to know. Work is busy and i have a very crazy roster that is all over the place, if only people with no knowledge of rostering would stop pretending they know what they are doin.
Would they like to work an endless number of days with only one off and changing continually from day shift to evening and back again... i think not... how many more years until i can retire.. far too many i think.
